[KANDAL, March 15, 2026] — RI Korea Cambodia office has successfully completed the first preliminary education sessions for its 2026 initiative: "Promoting Health Equity through Community Workforce Development." The program aims to cultivate professional community activists by strengthening their capacity for monitoring vulnerable groups and implementing local health activities.

The training sessions were conducted at the hospital’s education hall on two separate dates to accommodate specialized roles:

• March 3: Training for 10 Medical Support Health Keepers (3-hour intensive).

• March 14: Comprehensive workshop for 20 Home-Visit Health Keepers (5-hour full session).

Cultivating Professional Health Activists

The primary goal of this education was to ensure a deep understanding of the 2026 operational procedures and to standardize the quality of care provided to the community. The curriculum was divided into five strategic sessions:

• Roles and Responsibilities: Detailed orientation on annual/monthly activity plans, monitoring guidelines, and reporting protocols.

• Digital Systems Proficiency: Hands-on practice with the work management system to ensure efficient documentation and data-driven health interventions.

• Health Management Fundamentals: Education on the critical importance of health maintenance and practical care methodologies.

• Human Rights and Awareness: Specialized training on the health rights of persons with disabilities and fostering proper societal awareness to ensure inclusive service.

• Operational Alignment: Sharing the 2026 activity schedule and finalizing the implementation roadmap through interactive Q&A.

Bridging the Gap in Health Equity

By empowering a total of 30 local Health Keepers, Angsnul Referral Hospital is taking a proactive step toward closing the health gap for the region's most vulnerable populations.
