KOICA Cambodia Launches Disability-Inclusive Health Promotion Activities in Borey Kamkor and Prey Tunlorb Villages

[March 23, 2026 – Kandal Province, Cambodia] – As part of the "Disability-Inclusive Health Promotion Project in Ang Snuol District," KOICA Cambodia has officially launched its 2026 resident health monitoring and status survey.

Beginning March 16, 2026, local community activists known as "Health Keepers" have started conducting door-to-door visits in Borey Kamkor and Prey Tunlorb villages. These visits aim to select target residents for 2026 monitoring and to survey the current status of health, chronic diseases, and disabilities within the community.

Key highlights of the 2026 program include:

• Experienced Workforce: The team consists of 20 Health Keepers who served in 2025 and have completed specialized preparatory training for the 2026 mission.

• System-Driven Efficiency: Unlike previous years, all activities in 2026 have been transitioned to a digital management system, streamlining data collection and reporting.

• Enhanced Global Collaboration: An integrated online platform now connects Health Keepers with experts in both Cambodia and Korea, ensuring a swift response to field issues and strengthening the professional support network.

The Health Keeper activities are scheduled to run from March through December 2026, focusing on long-term health monitoring, health promotion education, and various community support initiatives.

 

2026년 앙스누울구 장애친화적 건강증진 프로젝트 본격 가동

[2026년 3월 23일, 캄보디아 껀달주] – KOICA(한국국제협력단)의 ‘캄보디아 껀달주 앙스누울구 장애친화적 건강증진 프로젝트’가 2026년도 주민 건강 모니터링 활동을 본격적으로 시작했습니다.

지난 3월 16일부터 시작된 이번 활동은 앙스누울구 내 보레이 캄코(Borey Kamkor)와 프레이 툰롭(Prey Tunlorb) 마을을 대상으로 진행됩니다. 이번 조사는 지역 활동가인 ‘건강지키미(Health Keepers)’들이 각 가정을 직접 방문하여 2026년도 집중 모니터링 대상자를 선정하고, 주민들의 전반적인 건강 상태 및 질병, 장애 실태를 파악하는 데 목적이 있습니다.

주요 특징은 다음과 같습니다:

• 숙련된 전문 인력: 2025년 활동 경험을 갖춘 베테랑 활동가들을 중심으로, 사전 교육을 완수한 20명의 헬스키퍼가 투입되었습니다.

• 온라인 시스템 도입: 올해부터는 모든 활동 기록과 데이터 관리가 온라인 시스템으로 통합되어 효율성이 극대화되었습니다.

• 유기적 협력 체계: 활동 중 발생하는 이슈는 실시간 시스템을 통해 한국과 캄보디아의 전문가들에게 전달되어, 즉각적인 기술 자문과 지원이 이루어집니다.

본 프로젝트는 오는 12월까지 지속되며, 단순 모니터링을 넘어 주민들의 건강 증진을 위한 맞춤형 교육과 다각적인 지원 활동을 병행할 예정입니다.
