RI Korea and KOICA Launch Health Awareness Poster Campaign to Promote Rehabilitation Services at Ang Snuol Referral Hospital

[KANDAL, CAMBODIA] – As part of the ongoing "Disability-Inclusive Health Promotion Project," RI Korea, in partnership with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), has announced the launch of a new health awareness and promotion campaign. This initiative features the distribution of 300 specialized posters designed to inform the local community about the rehabilitation services available at the Ang Snuol Referral Hospital.

The primary goal of the campaign is to introduce the hospital’s Physical Therapy Unit, which was established through a close collaboration between the Ang Snuol Referral Hospital and KOICA. The posters emphasize the critical importance of rehabilitation for individuals living with disabilities and chronic diseases.

Targeted Support for Vulnerable Groups A total of 300 high-quality, color-printed sticker posters (A3 size) will be produced and distributed starting in November 2025. To ensure the information reaches those most in need, "Health Keepers" (community health volunteers) will personally deliver these posters during their home visits to 300 pre-identified individuals belonging to health-vulnerable groups.

Comprehensive Care Services The posters provide detailed information regarding the specialized services offered at the Physical Therapy Unit, including:

  • Physical Therapy for mobility and functional recovery.

  • Pain Management for chronic and acute conditions.

  • Occupational Therapy to assist with daily living activities.

In addition to service descriptions, the posters include essential operational details, such as contact information for the medical institution and clinical hours, ensuring that residents can easily access professional care.

Project Timeline The production and design phase, which began in October 2024, is scheduled for completion by December 30, 2025. This campaign represents a significant step forward in bridging the gap between local residents and professional rehabilitation services, fostering a more inclusive and healthy environment in the Ang Snuol District.

"Rehabilitation is not just a medical service; it is a pathway to independence for people with disabilities," said a project representative. "Through this poster campaign, we hope to ensure that no one in Ang Snuol is left behind due to a lack of information."
